It's Not Over Yet

We are extending this year's deadline for An Honest Lie, Volume 3: Justifiable Hypocrisy. The extended deadline is May 15, 2011. Two more months to polish up that story and send it in! If you need information on submission guidelines, just read the posts below.

“Editing is like a haircut.

You need to start with a full-bodied story, or if not, ask yourself why you're in the chair, and why the editor is using nothing but the clippers.

If your story is grown out enough, the editor then cuts and styles it to make you look better. Don't cry or be angry. You may not look exactly the same, but you should look crisp and professional.

For the same reasons as a haircut, a self-cut and self-styled story looks choppy, and for the same reasons as a haircut, you should be very careful who holds the scissors.”
